Just looking around the ETI site and saw the new 2021 pricing and new options.

Here are some of the new options for 2021. Prices in USD.

Flush mount oven $1,700.
Convection microwave oven: $785
Composting toilet: $1,420
Lithium Ion battery: $1,575
Upgraded A/C system 13,500 btu. bluetooth: $1,120

Our 2018 Escape 21 will need the propane tanks refilled and new tires come next Spring so this will give us something to consider over the Winter
Looks like they’ve made some major improvements

Watched the livecast.

Umbra style hooks are another new 2021 option.
A compressor refrigerator for the 19. Optional.

Pre-orders for the 23’ in late September. Production starting , hopefully, January next year.

A couple of more items from the livestream that I found interesting

• The 2021 price list was brought out earlier than planned because the remaining 2020 construction slots were taken faster than expected, and they wanted to give their customers a way to start reserving 2021 slots knowing pricing.
• The Lithium solution is not finalized yet. They are talking to a couple of high-end vendors.
• They have selected the Nature's Head composting toilet system
• The optional Coleman A/C claims to be quieter, but they won't know for sure until they've installed one.
• They intend to put up the detailed descriptions of the options onto the website when they are available.
• They are receiving deposits at the rate of 3 construction slots weeks per ordering week. They're hoping to increase their construction rate from 2 trailers per day to 3.
• They're changing their storage rates: first month is free, and $Cdn300/month after that. So it will be important to get a delivery/pickup date finalized and be ready to pick up the trailer in that month. They're also very happy with the way the trailer delivery system is working, and are now including that discussion as part of the ordering process.
• They repeated that you commit to options and construction details three months before delivery, so if you put a deposit now to reserve a construction slot, you can wait to see the detailed specifications of the standard features and options before finalizing them.

I'm assuming no new info on a third cabinet finish option and currently just something that "might" happen in the future?

The decor requests did come up. Their “interior decorator” is coming soon to help finalize a new colour palette. Karl laughed as he confessed to being colour blind so the new palette will be lighter and may be shades of white and grey.

I should also mention that the livecast has been posted to the Escape Industries youtube and is only about 35 minutes so not a big investment in time. And as the famous line from “Shakespeare In Love” goes, there’s a laugh and a bit with a dog.

It was mentioned but not clarified....I expect it to be an option and that they will clarify it in the coming months. Mentioned looking for the right color in the white/off-white family.

Just to answer my own question in regards to cabinet material since I hadn't had a chance to watch the video: they say within a month or so they'll have a new cabinet finish nailed down and the key word is "contemporary" for what they're going for, so that's good to hear!

I understood it to be one 12V Lithium battery.

I personally love warm colours, in wood, paint or any finish. That said, I have done lots of grey and white stuff for customers who like the plainer look. I find that too boring and it does not give me a feel of warmth and coziness, something desirable for me in a small trailer.

But, options are a good thing for consumers. Escape is really getting into them in a much bigger way now.

Karl said they have two suppliers they are talking with. Said they are both very high end for what that's worth. Only one battery can be optioned. Unless its a nice high end 200-250ma single unit, I'd order the two 6V AGM setup, then buy my own and upgrade the inverter at the same time.

I notice there are more trailer manufacturers going with one larger 12v lithium versus two in parallel. Same amp hours, one battery.

But that's not a size - batteries come in many sizes, both in terms of the physical case dimensions and more importantly in electrical storage capacity.

I assume that you meant 200 to 250 amp-hour (Ah) capacity.

That makes sense to me. The size of the most common batteries is determined by the amount of lead that a person can reasonably lift for installation and removal; since lithium-ion cells are less dense than lead-acid cells, the volume of a single battery can be larger. There is no need for lithium-ion batteries to be the size of a GC2 (common golf car) battery, and fewer boxes mean both fewer connections to go wrong and if it avoids a parallel configuration then less complexity of the battery management system.

FYI attached is the data sheet on the Coleman Mach 10 A/C Karl mentioned, I was curious about it's electrical demands vis-a-vis generator requirements.

I didn't do a deep Google drill, but the largest LiFePo Lithium battery I saw was 12V 100aH (Battleborn, Renogy). Given that Lead can only be discharged safely to 50% capacity and LiFePo almost to 0% capacity, this single 100aH will be roughly equivalent to the 220ah 2x6V Lead Acid option.

I will have to be patient for a few weeks to see what the real Escape Lithium solution is.

Besides the lighter weight and better discharge cycle, Lithium LiFePo batteries also have the advantage of no topping up with distilled water to cover the plates, and no venting of noxious gases needed. One downside is that they do not perform as well in the cold as Lead acid.
