Sally, Congrats on a fantastic rig. Ours is due in July. Love the U-dinette, so just to be clear, you deleted the table? The area looks huge! so nice to relax, is it the standard measurements?

Now you have me thinking about that anderson hitch too... Thanks for the pics and the post. Congrats again

Don, I have the table, looking down the road at resale some day. Just didn't get it installed. Anderson hitch - I am, umm, not young, and arthritic; the hitch was so easy to attach. Winds were pretty strong and going 65 there was NO sway. (I needed to get home quicker than I thought)

Jim, the inside bathroom door is somewhat rough. Did they stick there? Oh,heck. I can try and if not, no big loss and nothing broken, eh?

Sally, you got me thinking now.....

I don't like those big support things on the floor, that maybe I can rig a system that I set up the table (if I want it) onsite but it does not ride there during towing, or I can use it for the bed for my mom...

Hmmmmm Just some thoughts because your layout looked really relaxing, my wife loved it.

Of course I will have to look at all this when I see Jim's 21, I might even have to stay the night I will have so many questions and ideas.... Just kidding Jim.

Does Escape include any type of curtain rod across the door for a privacy curtain. Just asking those who may have already picked up their 21' Escape. If yes, what type of rod holders are needed and size of curtain, thanks.

I have responded to Jim, the 21 does get a curtain to cover the door way. The rod is there but the curtain was not available 3 weeks ago, maybe in tomorrows mail. We may also install a second curtain to "hide" the bed, we'll see, right now we are putting up our pictures and decorations to personalize the trailer. After 2 1/2 weeks and 2100 miles we are very happy.

Mine has that curtain and I don't want it so will be taking it down. The rod is rather like the shower curtain's rod. Curtain goes across door and is for 'privacy'. But since there's only one of me, it would be a dust catcher.

BTW, the microwave is NOT too high, even for a shortie.

Sally,
If you unit is nearby I need the dimensions of the bath floor, the recessed part where the drain is. I found some bamboo mats on sale, thanks very muck.

Measurements

Just came in from doing some measurements to find your request, Jim. Luckily its close. You're welcome very muck? Anyhow the bath floor is approximately 22 x 24, not including 1/2 inch due to curves from wall to floor.

For the U shaped dinette, the back bench is 18" wide and 7 feet long. The side benches are 25 wide and 29" long. In a ppinch I could sleep on the back bench. But Dave at Escape suggested I could have two boards, easy to stow under the bed, made to fill in the table space for use if needed.

If anyone needs other measures, no problemo. If I could find a twin comforter that was @65" wide, it would fit the bed quite nicely without all that leftover fabric to tuck. The standard twin 60 fits but just doesn't hang down quite enough to cover the mattress showing near the door.

THANKS Sally, that's exactly what I needed to know to make a mockup of my abracadabra table!

Thank you very much, Sally!! Great info, I forgot about the mattress showing with twin set up. I'll try to use matching sheets.

On the line of comforters--I have bought some fleece or flannel and sewed it on the sides and bottom of the comforter so I have "tuckability" without the heaviness of tucking a bigger comforter..
Keeps thinga all in place and not so easy to "steal all the covers; either!

Sure, sure, AM. Methinks I want to hear his side first. I say this, because we have a similar situation in our household.

Here is a proposal for a layout for the 21'. Don't know if the wheel wells would be a problem or where the furnace would go. Would need some kind of wall set-up for a front bed. Perhaps the door could be moved some to accommodate a design such as this.

They could sell many more 21's with a queen bed.
