Baffle for 4.3 and 6.7 fridges

I am sorry for the delay on the baffle instructions. I recorded everything and now cannot find cord to get from camera to computer I will just take photos and post as originally planned.

That Whirlpool stainless 21 cu ft house fridge draws about 9 amps per day at 120 volts which I believe is the most energy efficient home refrigerator on the market....a real possibility for full-timers with multiple batteries, solar and an inverter.

Sorry , I have been away from wifi for several days . Reace did our baffle update while we were at the factory last Friday going over the build sheet for the new 21.

Has Reace documented the baffle rework yet. He stated that he was going to post it here on the forum about 2 weeks ago. I am very anxious to see it..

Not totally sure if he has documented it , all I seem to remember is that the clearance in the back of the fridge needed to be tightened up , by the time we had finished up with Tammy and gone for lunch they had it done . We were too busy with the build sheet stuff to pay attention to what they were doing with the fridge , it has helped a bit .

ETI sent me an email yesterday with photos of the step-by-step installation. I suggest contacting them to request a copy. I think it would be cumbersome to try posting it. Essentially, you pull the fridge, add some 1X1" strips for attaching the baffle (which is thin plywood) on the sides and bottom, attach the baffle, add fiberglass insulation on the sides and top, and reinstall. It looks like he has reduced the clearance significantly. He may do it an an hour, but it's going to be a half-day adventure for me, at least. I definitely plan to do it.

My question is how can one person remove that refer, alone, in such cramped space, work on it and then reinstall, all by themselves?? It would be nice if we had a table at the correct height, pull it out, work on and then slide it back it, but we do not have that luxury!!

Exactly. It will take a second person to help pull it out. I'm thinking I'll put together some sort of stand for it to sit on. It would be nice to have the mattress off the bed (19' here) so I could put it there temporarily to get some working space. Maybe I can stand the mattress up on edge.

And to think I was contemplating building up some sort of baffle working between the top and bottom vents. Idle thoughts while driving along, not based in reality.....

The question that begs to be asked is whether the fridge was installed as per
Dometic clearance requirements. My owners package did not come with the
installation manual for the fridge to check this. Also, I agree that the baffle
installation would be difficult for one person and definitely would require
more than one hour, at least for me and on the first time. Anxious to see how
this scenario develops.

I don't want to speak for Reace here but the impression I got when we talked about it is that dometic changed or perhaps updated their specs and this baffle is to acomidate that

I was going to post what ETI sent out but the file is to large (933kb) to upload to the forum (will only allow 400kb for PDF). I cant figure out how to reduce the size without lowering the resolution of the pictures and they need to be clear. It has several pictures and maybe that's why ETI has not posted it.

Maybe someone else that received it can do it.

I hope so, I'd really like to see it. My 19 is early 2014, about the time of the change, according so Reace's comment. I have no idea of whether or not my has it or doesn't.

Photos would be nice.

EXACTO-mundo! Easy my foot, and a great opportunity to seriously mar up the cabinetry.
