Cancelled: 2020 escape trailer rally osoyoos
CANCELLED: 2020 ESCAPE TRAILER RALLY OSOYOOS
Thank you to everyone for your feedback. The majority along with us, really want to keep the date as is. Unfortunately the campground, wine tours, catering etc are all closed with no visibility on an open date.
We are cancelled for the foreseeable future. When the travel bans are lifted we might be able to quickly arrange something even if it is only a small scale gathering.

Someone posted on another thread that they had phoned the campground and cancelled and they got their full deposit back.

I'm thinking of just leaving the deposit with them, to hold my campsite for perhaps the fall, rally or no rally.

Yea, because if you made your deposit from the US when the Cdn dollar was high and got your refund now when it's lower then you're going to be out of pocket!
We could start a whole new thread on that

Even if they just keep it, I am good with that. Their overall losses are WAY more than my wee deposit. I would trade 1,000 of those deposits to get my recent financial market losses back.
And if something later could be still organized, I would do my darnedest to go.

Glenn, I was able to get my deposit back last week. That was before Karl had announced the cancellation.

Note from the CampSite
Good afternoon Sharon,
We will be issuing refunds for the deposits. I have already had quite a few reach out asking for deposits saying the rally was cancelled. If the rally is cancelled, would it be possible to let everyone know that we will be reaching out to refund deposits, and not to call us? It sounds like a weird ask, but due to being short staffed with all this chaos going on, we’re already pretty swamped here in the office. It would it be easier on us if we could cancel the reservations and refund deposits on the days our office is closed.
Thanks,
Ryan

So the cg is asking for some time to process the refunds and for the customer to reman patient during this time, they are short staffed and only working part time. So hopefully by the time the rally was to start the refunds will be completed. So please remain patient and wait awhile to allow the refund process.
