and let us not forget to mention attending the rally in Osoyoos,BC after pick up and seeing close to 200 Escapes all lines up and meeting other forum members in person, and then heading home, wherever that may be.

Thanks rmitch. Yep it is a bummer. We had such an epic trip planned for our previously scheduled May 12 pickup. Of course, it included the Osoyoos rally. We waited as long as we could to decide whether to postpone or have delivered. We finally decided that we can maybe salvage some of our plans for June, so we are glad we can take delivery here at home. We are trying to focus on the positive. Making new plans! And now, of course a visit to the factory will be planned around the rally next year!

↑ ↑ This says it all. ↑ ↑

Since last November, we had our own "epic" vacation plans for a trip to the Pacific Northwest to get our Escape. I'm 61 and have never visited that part of the country. Instead, we had our trailer delivered last month. This week, we took a short, 4-day shakedown camping trip just so we could see what it's like and loved every minute of it. Man, do I ever need to get organized. As soon as the Crater Of Diamonds State Park opens back up, I'll be headed that way for a few days to dig in some Arkansas dirt. I've been there before but have been wanting to go back. I'm still determined to see those big Redwoods in Northern California before I check out of this world. It'll probably be at least two more years before I can pull that off.

Great news from the Escape Industries today. “As your 5.0TA trailer is now finished production and moving into our Quality Control department for final detailing, these are the last set of photos you will receive. We have your Escape scheduled for delivery leaving our facility on May 15, 2020.” She’s almost home. Can’t wait to start prepping her for many miles of adventures. Unfortunately, the first week will have to be in my driveway.

You will have to take it to a local rv place and have them install a hitch after delivery. That is what I had to do on my delivery. On edit, here is a thread with a great buy on an excellent hitch, a Husky Centerline I'm going to order one for my E21 https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...tml#post334306

We did not buy our hitch from ETI, but we use the Fastway E2 hitch for our 19 (ETI does sell this hitch). We have been incredibly pleased with it. It's very very similar to the Equalizer brand.

Just received the formal quote for shipping from the factory to our door. 2,750 miles / $2,699. Little less than a dollar a mile. Can't wait to get it home.
