That's too bad. As I pointed out to Kroll, there are three classifications available for three-wheelers under federal rules in Canada - they needed to pick one and work with it. The three-wheelers which are currently sold here (such as the Polaris Slingshot) are classified as motorcycles, so at least in Alberta the occupants must wear helmets (and the people I saw driving them in Quebec and Nova Scotia were wearing helmets), which doesn't fit the intended Solo market. Motor vehicles are a much bigger manufacturing and regulatory challenge than travel trailers...
Manufacturing travel trailers in China for sale in North America has been tried, too, but the shipping cost is likely a problem. Chilliwack seems like a good place to make them, to me.
By the way, I'm not sure that the Solo really is being sold, even in the U.S., since the website only offers to take a deposit, and talks about likely pricing when production starts.
