Escape production calendar

shows that Escape was originally closed for the holidays from Xmas eve thru New Years Day, but now it shows someone is getting their 21' Escape on Xmas Eve and someone else is getting their 19' Escape on New Year's Eve, I hope the bubbly will be flowing.

How's the weather that time of year? Would one be towing in January in what I assume to be snowy and/or rainy conditions?

according to the schedule, one is not too far away and the other is Las Vegas so within a day's drive they should be safe from snow.

I've given up trying to predict the weather, it's wacky. The Dec 24 completion is for someone in Las Vegas, NV and the pickup for New Years Eve is Bellingham, WA. They could walk home! I don't think I'd want to tow across the Rockies....

It will take more than a day to get away from snow danger to Las Vegas...

true, I was thinking more of a 24 hour period, leaving Chilliwack at noon one day and 24 hours later should be ok as long as it doesn't start while traveling, also the person will probably go home the same way they drove up and will have a feel for the roads.

I suppose one could keep an eye on the weather and postpone their pickup date if necessary.

Go here: Daily Data

to look up historical weather for Chilliwack. December 2012 - no snow on ground. Gives you all the data.
To look up other cities and dates, start at Environment Canada, pick a city, scroll down until you find Historical Weather.

It does not look like it snows much in Chilliwack, will probably hit more snow in the mountains on the trip up thru Idaho/Utah/ and the Cascades. Oh well that is their concern, mine is being delivered and I hope to be camping in it over the holidays.

That's us on the schedule for the 19 on New Year's Eve.

However, we probably won't actually take delivery until early February. Soon thereafter we hope to embark on a long trip south to escape (no pun intended) the chilly winter climes of Bellingham (The City of Subdued Excitement).

Counting the days now!

We'll be the ones headed down I-5 at 55 mph in the right lane.

Wave as you go by. 8)

We're headed for Phoenix, San Antonio, and Hubble Trading Post on the Navajo reservation.

How about you?

Not sure as yet. The last 3 years we've gone to the same place in S.California, but next year we're going to take a bit longer, go south, then east.

We'll keep an eye out for a new shiny 5.0!
