Glad that most Escape stoves are 2 burner.

“Summary

Dometic Corporation (Demetic) is recalling certain 3 burner cooking stoves, with part numbers S31, R1731 and R2131. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.”

I believe you'll find that Dometic "R1731", which is one of the models subject to the recall, is the 3-burner range with oven that's long been a popular ETI "standard option" for many Escape owners (R31 3-burner range with oven, 17" size).

Maybe not "most", but 'many' ('some'? .... whatever, the point is it may well apply to some Escape Owners).

They had to substitute a Surburban stove in lieu of a Dometic due to supply problems. I get it next week. Oh well, it is what it is.

Ours in the 2015 is an Atwood. The burner assembly does rattle apart regularly, though. FWIW. We just put it back together and check on it regularly.

My 21C is supposed to leave ETI next Thursday with 3 burner oven. I sent ETI an email regarding the recall yesterday late in day. Hopefully I'll hear from them Monday.

My sailboat had a rocker switch that would turn on/off the propane at the tank. Easy to install.

Similar to this.

Hi: Eggscape... Thanks for the clarification. This is actually a Dometic recall so any trailer manufacturer using these stoves is affected!!! Alf

We have a 2017 Escape 21 we picked up mid August 2017. We have the 3 burner stove with oven. I just checked our model number. It is RV-1735 BBP with a manufacturing date of 5/24/16.
I expect all the 3 burner stoves with ovens in Escapes around the time of ours are not part of the recall.

I wired the payment as well. No issues. I'll keep you posted on their reply. They will be shipping my 21C to Las Vegas.

Atwood RV1735RRPU

Our 2019 E21C has the three burner range/oven combo. The range/oven is identified on the installed components list in the pantry as Atwood RV1735RRPU. I hope I am correct in assuming that this range/oven combo is not subject to the recall. If is being recalled, suggest you don't park next to us until the fix is done!
