Thanks for keeping on trying Reace. Like Arizona Jack, our fridge is fine most of October thru most of March. Not looking forward to April in Texas. If we are in the sun freezer just can't handle the heat it seems. Hoping for a fix before the heat comes on. Maybe by Bluebonnet something will work? We will see you there.

Good Luck,

Robbie

It actually in the Community Rules ( see bottom of page ).

Posts should be well formatted. Use paragraphs, punctuation, and capital letters appropriately. Excessive use of Netspeak/LOLspeak (internet slang) and texting shortcuts (b4, str8, etc) is not permitted

I have noticed, both here and on FGRV, that as more people choose to read and to post on smart phone apps, the dumber the posts are, and that some are impossible to decipher.

True.

I used to tell parents to keep an eye on their kids with text messaging. To be honest, most parents wouldn't know what they were looking at if they read their kid's texts. nothing but abbreviations and even 'codes' the kids make up among their friends.

Having said that, I'm probably as guilty as the next guy of overusing acronyms and abbreviations. An IT career lends itself to that.

I post lots using my phone, and still try to use proper structure. It is not hard at all. Most of the time I just use speech to text, then check to see if any corrections are needed. It is a very accurate way to type, and way faster too.

If not using speech to text, I use SWYPE typing, which is way faster.

I was on my kids case when they first got phones to use proper spelling and grammar. They all do real good that way, and have since said how they hate it when friends don't. They also tell me that most of their friends now are getting away from the abbreviated spelling with texts. Again, I think the speech to text makes it easier for them, and stuff like acronyms often come out all wrong.

I actually wish I had speech to text for my computer. Though I have always typed properly, and can do so fast without looking at the keyboard, speaking to the computer would be even faster and easier.

So, is there any recent, definitive news from Reace on improving the existing refrigerators? While I realize that summer is a ways off, it seems like considerable time has passed since this issue was acknowledged. Just wondering ...

Try Dragon. I use it and it works great.

Long ago I had a Newton (remember those -- Apple's first try at a tablet, 15 years too early). One of the things I realized that my writing style on the Newton was different than my writing style on a desk top. My theory is that the smaller screen size leads to shorter sentences and shorter paragraphs. And perhaps less coherent thought.

I got tired of typing (like many) Escape Trailer Industries, their official name, and so I adopted ETI as have many others.
