The people at Escape are indeed a great bunch. But the smell of fiberglass in the building would be too strong for me to put up with it in a workplace. Even now about five months after picking up ours, that "new car" smell is quite strong.

In my business (primarily residential renovations) we have tons of customers extremely happy with what we deliver them. There is great reward in that. However, the trench work along the way is not always fun and games.

BTW, I see you got that smilie posting down pat. No having to holler at you twice.

What makes you say this, the production calendar is for the old style 5.0, the new style is not available until next summer.

Does someone saying they're "number ten" mean that nine other people have already ordered one? Maybe not, but that was the basis for my statement.

Escape is not taking deposits or orders yet. As soon as Reace posted the floor plan and photo of the new 5.0, I emailed them and asked if I could make a deposit. Kim emailed me back and said they were not taking deposits until the mold is completed, but that I was number #2 on the list for ordering one. I assume the numerical order is being assigned in the same order you contact them with a interest to purchase?

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah, I'm the one that fouled up the consecutive numbering system. I'm willing to wait in order to be the 10th off the line.

I too chose an "out of line" number. So there should be lots of space for everyone else to join in!

I figured I'm just giving others a chance! I own a trailer, I like my current trailer and it suits me just fine for the way I currently camp. Look how fast the 21' builds went. The next available space is sometime in May. I didn't want future buyers of the 5.0 to have to wait and wait... (that's my story and I'm sticking to it)

Hi: All... We're in the # 5 slot. We have a great 5.0 now, and can't wait for a new one. My guess is that we'll be busy at the Escape Rally in June too!!! Alf

Donna D. and Vicki A., glad to see you are ordering the new 5th wheel. I know you both wanted one.

There's a reason no trailer manufacturer offers this system.

As with all fifth-wheel hardware, this device is bigger and heavier (and more expensive -a thousand bucks in this case) than necessary because nothing is made to suit trailers as light as an Escape.
