When I logged in this morning and saw the title of the thread, I started shaking. Literally. I didn't even want to read the thread because I was worried about what was going on or if anyone was hurt. For me, it was about family. Not related by blood, but by heart. I pulled up my big girl panties and started reading. Relief, I felt actual relief. So glad to hear no one was hurt! And it sounds like the damage is recoverable. Whew. Thanks so much for the update Reace!

This is terrible news, but I am so glad no one was hurt. Blessings from Texas.

We lost 2 trailers in production and a bunch of inventory raw materials ... nothing we can’t rebuild or purchase and get back on our feet.

Reace 😳
Sorry to hear. Great that nobody was hurt!

Wow! Sorry to hear about this Reace. Hopefully you can recover without much of a hiccup in production.

Yes, let's hope that production is not slowed down too much, particularly for those who are patiently waiting for their new Escape. I believe mine was to start in a week.

Seeing the liner storage was hit, you might have to accept a bare shell unit.

I would bet their supplier of liner will put a bunch into production right away for them though. At least, I would hope so.

Jim, When you say liner, you mean the white vinyl liner?

Hi: cpaharley2008... I was always under the impression it was aircraft liner. Seeing Boing boing may not be building for a week or two it shouldn't be long to get some more. Alf

Hi: Reace... So sorry to read about this "Bump in the road". It could have been worse!!! Hope it wasn't criminal in nature too. Alf

Well here is the mess in the daylight.

Unfortunately the fire knocked out our communication line for phone and email for most of the day, but back in business now!

Spending the day with RCMP, Fire, Insurance, Hazmat, Electrical, Gas...etc.

Wow...

Best wishes moving forward.

I expect you're already redesigning that space.

What a mess!! I'm glad it wasn't the showroom or main production facility. I hope you are able to recover quickly and keep production going!

I think we'd all prefer our eggs well done, but not Flambé.

Me too Greg Scamp came back within 11 months, but the saddest part of all is they lost ALL their record archives. It was so great when someone owned a very old Scamp, could call them up and find out what was originally ordered, etc. Sigh. I bet ETI does a much better job of protecting their data.

Reace, the main thing is that no one was injured and everything else is replaceable. As Glenn said, I imagine you are already planning an improvement to the building design. I hope all goes smoothly in the recovery.
