This doesn’t change my mind on a 2020 build on a 19! You’ll come back out of this better and stronger!

Saw this at 2 AM and was hoping wasn't ETI. Wishing for a fast recovery and big kudos to the firefighters from halls 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6 for keeping it from spreading to other Escape buildings or the neighbor Hot Rod and Classics.

Shocked to see this today, we too are thankful no one was hurt! Our 19' was to start production Monday - hope the facility will not be down a real long time and we will be practicing patience, caring and understanding as they work through this terrible event.

Wtf

I have not read this thread in detail, but why not contact eti?

Might they have some insight into the issue? Been a member of this forum for 2+ years and I see abundant speculation on issues easily resolved after message to eti.

New and relieved

We are new to the forum and are just finishing our build sheet for a 17B. So relieved no one was hurt and damages were limited. And we are very hopeful we still will be able to get our trailer later this summer. We will be patient! Thank you everyone for your posts.

They just got their internet and phones back working late today.
The last thing they need in the next few days is to reply to a pile of emails and phone calls over and above the norm.
I am sure they will inform the people directly if their trailer is delayed...in due time.
I can’t imagine they got much sleep last night and I appreciate the updates they have given us today both here and on Facebook.

No kidding. That middle of the night phone call (as a parent/business owner) puts every ounce of adrenaline into overdrive. I expect it's a 'Rye' night for Reace about now. I think Tammy is a wine drinker....

Wow ...it really does look bad - but yet seems almost lucky it didn't spread. Must have been quickly controlled............must have a lot of good people involved...........

Glad nobody was injured and the fire didn't spread any further than it did.

Hi Cher MN, welcome to the forum. We live in Eagan and are scheduled to pick up our Escape in June, when is your build date?

I am retired and Colleen plans to work another year, this is our first RV.

Hi Cher,
Scary news this morning. Relieved after reading Reese's post. Thankfully no one was hurt.
We gave our pop up camper to our daughter and moving up to a 17 Escape. We leave in three weeks to pick it up~can't wait.

Thanks everyone for all the positive comments!

Yesterday was a gong show as we tried to get things sorted out. It took awhile to get the power turned back on and then we realized the phone lines were melted during the fire. Tammy managed to get the phone line forwarded to her cell phone, but that’s not going to work for long. Monday afternoon we are told things should be back in order with the phones.

We are receiving a pile of calls and emails asking about the state of any completed units and I am happy to say there was no damage to any of these units! These units are all stored at the rear of the property so no worries there!

One of the most important items we lost was our stock of headliner. This is what worried us the most for holding up production as it is very time consuming to get and we lost every stitch of it. When we finally got ahold of our supplier we where happy to hear that our next order would be ready to ship in the first week of April. All it took was a photo of what happened and they have agreeed to airfreight enough to get us rolling so we should be able to resume this part of production production by Wednesday!

Things won’t necessarily be as smooth as they were, but orientations will continue as scheduled with no hiccups.

Regarding the dogs that live on site...I am happy to say they are fine! At the beginning of March a new security system with monitered perimeter motion and cameras throughout the interior and exterior was installed. Our youngest daughter was happy to adopt Joe and Tessa has come home with us.

Unfortunately the buildings that burned did not have cameras in them (the only spot without of course!) but we were able to see from the perimeter cameras showing where the fire started. We can’t see what caused it but it will at least help investigators rule out some possibilities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we get through this period.

Hi Reace
I’m sure everyone in the Escape “family”
appreciates the update. We are all relieved that nobody was hurt. Best of luck going forward , we know that the Escape operation is a class act and your updates certainly confirm that.

Reace, great to hear that all is under control, and not any more serious than it was. A good excuse to rebuild bigger and better, eh? [emoji6]

I am so relieved that no one was hurt. It made me realize that my 17 is the only thing I own where I have a connection with the people who made it. Thank you Reace, Tammy, and all the escape people!
