Recomendations for these items.

My 21' is built and ready for pickup. I have a couple more things to get and looking for recent purchase recommendations for:

Wheel chock lock.

Levelers and Level for the trailer.

What products do I use for the black and grey water treatment if any.

Toilet Paper brands.

Any handy things for the bathroom.

Also when we get to Escape Trailers is there thing we should purchase there.

Escape offers a starter kit with some of those items, ask about that and some leveling blocks, all sold there at the factory. There are 2 levels already on the trailer.

I like the andersen levelers, but you have to trim the tip off one due to the tire spacing on the Escape.

toilet paper, any toilet paper that disintegrates if you put a sheet in a glass of water and gently stir with a spoon will do. avoid stuff like Charmin, it doesn't pass this test.

holding tanks, I use Walex TOI-61776 Elemonate Grey Water Deodorizer and Cleaner and Walex TOI-91799 Porta-pak Deodorizer for the black tank.

I've used Odorlos for several years. It works. Pour it in the grey and black tanks.
For TP, read the package. The one I'm using says "Safe for septic systems". Do Not buy RV TP. It dissolves when damp, never mind wet, resulting a selfie prostate exam. It's also very expensive.

Also been using Odorlos for years and it doesn't have that aweful stink many others have.

Had my prostate removed in 97, so that's a rather worthless exam.

Presuming that you're picking up in Sumas and heading down I-5 you'll be down to Burlington in less than an hour. There is a large Camping World there with everything you might discover that you want after your first day or two with the trailer.

I don't know if it is better /the same/ or not as good as Odorlos but we have been using it for 6 years and it always works.

Has anyone used both that could tell us which is better? Who knows, I may have to switch!

I went thru a bunch of holding tank destinkers, the best I've used, and continue to use, is Happy Camper, I have NOT tried Odorlos. We use a 1/2 dose in the gray and full dose in the black.

Use a couple short 3/4" PVC boards for the times the trailer only needs a bit of leveling. Have the Anderson's when I need up to 3 or 4", these slide on some surfaces and sink into some others so I carry a strip of rubber about 3/8" thick, 8" wide, and long enough to fit under both tires. When I need even more lift I put the PVC under the rubber mat and the Anderson's over it.

Don't use a chock lock.

Use Scott's single layer TP.

Handi things for bathroom.

Replaced he shower head with on that has an on/off switch.

We put Dri-Dek tiles on the floor so the floor doesn't get scratched up, a little uncomfortable for bare feet though. There are probably better options for this.

I don't remember what the trailer comes with but if you don't want to get them elsewhere, like Walmart. Leveling blocks, water hose, sewer hose, and a water pressure regulator are needed. Pretty much everything else is optional, however an RV mat is nice to have, as is the step rug, both of which ETI carries, as does WM.

You'll be driving past hundreds or WM's and numerous Camping Worlds on your trip, stop and get stuff as you find the need.

Another vote for Happy Camper, never had any foul smells. It does clump up if you don't shake it well with water prior to pouring into tanks.

The Camco Rhinoflex is a good sewer hose, much better quality than the cheaper, thinner ones.

The 15’ Rhinoflex will fit in your Escape’s sewer tube, complete with all the attachments.

We have a 5' and 10' Rhinoflex that will connect together to make a 15'. The 5' at the dump station is much easier to handle and clean. By the time you add the 45 degree clear connector at the tank end and the 90 degree connector at the dump end you're over 6' long. We've yet to use the 10'.

The 5' with the 45 degree connector and the 10' all fit in the sewer tube with room to spare.

Andersen Manufacturing 3620 Rapid Jack at Amazon is a fantastic leveler for 1/2" to 4". So far, I haven't needed anything else but it's easy to put a board under it if I need more than 4".

Torque wrench. Bea in another recent post had this to say: "Hint – BRING a torque wrench that can measure to at least 95 pounds. Remember to also bring a 13/16” deep socket."
RV Leveling Blocks, 10 piece (Camping World) for a multitude of things (e.g., struts, under your trailer tongue jack, leveling).
Anderson Camper Levelers and Chocks (but you do have to trim one as indicated). I see where Camping World now has their own brand of these (Item No. 108993).

Camco Rhinoflex Sewer Hose (Amazon or from ETI)

Holding tank additives. We've come across several campgrounds that won't let you dump if you have any type of 'chemical' in your tank so be aware. Have tried several biodegradable types (TankTech Rx, Walex, Odorlos) and, so far, we like Happy Camper the best. (Note: Houseboats on Lake Shasta, where the temps can reach 115º in the summer, have used Happy Camper for years with great results.)

I'm curious how they determine that there is a chemical in your black holding tank. That rule sounds like a holdover from years ago when formaldehyde was used in black tanks. I don't believe you can even buy a tank chemical with formaldehyde in it these days.

I've always wondered that as well. One campground by us (Costanoa in Santa Cruz) used to require that your black tank be empty before arriving and 'no chemicals allowed'; however, now that it's become a KOA, I don't see any reference to that on their web site.

What did you have to do to get assigned the job of verifying that the tank was empty?

Another vote for Odorlos; it seems to work pretty well. Remember that the 21 has that long pipe going from the black tank to the discharge valve. It will fill first so that later you may have to add more Odorlos (or other) to the tank; that is, two doses per dump.

As for TP, I've been using the single-ply Thetford that you can buy at Walmart. I've had no problems with it. My doctor cheerfully gives me a prostate exam at every opportunity.

For the toilet paper, opinions vary on whether "RV toilet paper" is strictly necessary, but of the RV-labeled options the Scott RV TP is by far the best (not the same as the regular Scott 1-ply). The Thetford etc TP is OK but annoying. Steer clear of the West Marine "2-ply" stuff, though. It's like sandpaper and doesn't dissolve well.
