I believe Escape provides an adapter, but chocks and leveler would be needed.......

ETI does not provide a 50-30 amp adapter, they supply a 15-30 amp adapter. However, in 5+ years with my Escape, I have never had to use my 50-30 amp adapter, so I wouldn’t think you are in a “crunch.” Good to have “just in case” but not likely an immediate need. Drinking water hose?

While I don't spend the majority of my time in commercial campgrounds, I have found at least one campsite per trip that only had a 50 amp receptacle.

Another good reason to carry one is often due to more use, the 30 amp receptacle is in poorer shape than the 50 amp. Using the adapter can save burning up your plug.

I wonder if your EMS works while hooked to 50 amp circuits?

Makes no difference. The adapter connects one leg of the 50 amp 120/240V 50 amp connector, providing a 120V connection. While the 50 amp breaker on the campground pedestal is higher than the 30 amp cord going between it & your trailer, it is permissible (and safe) to use the combination since the 30 amp main in the trailer protects it. Same thing as plugging a lamp with #18 cord into a 15 - 20 amp household outlet...
