Dometic RTX 1000 12v AC unit

We were watching a series on Discovery+ called Van Go, about a group of guys that build out custom camping vans. They use the Dometic RTX 1000 12v AC quite a bit and sometimes, when they have enough battery, the Dometic RTX 2000.

The RTX1000 claims 1200watts, 4100BTU, 12hours run time(not sure how many batteries though). Interesting little rooftop unit.

I see two problems: no word listing the db's -how loud is it, and,
roof opening don't match up with Escape standard 14x14" opening.

Neat units but they are really truck cab coolers. Look to be pretty loud in standard Dometic fashion. Might be a little short on BTU’s for all but the smallest Escapes. I can say that our 9,000 BTU mini-split is perfect for the 19 and 21. I also don’t see an advantage to 12V DC power wiring when you can run a small efficient AC off an inverter and also have the 120V AC for other uses. Yeah there are some inverter losses but not that much.

Borrowing from Johnny Cash's song, One Piece at a Time, maybe we could get it to work with the help of an A-daptor kit.
