I have talked to bottles, and in fact pie plates with banana creme pie in them,. A little over 50 years ago my Dad and I used to “look in” on an old guy about every day. They’d have a drink, I’d read magazines, take his clothes to the laundromat, get his
groceries etc. We would “make up a plate” for old Joe Svoboda on Sundays. He’d eat it all except the pie my mom sent. Then about 15 minutes later he’d reach for the plate and pull it to him, clear his throat, and command “ come here Jimmy” . Pie was gone in a couple minutes. So here I am, 50 years later, especially when my brothers are around, imitating Joe and eating my wife’s pie. So yes, I talk to inanimate objects all the time. And the E T. In casket reminds me to phone home and let Rita know “I’ll be a little bit late, getting home.” And there’s your insight for the day.
