Maybe a Good Lock SAF

If the LockPickingLawyer says it good…then that is a great endorsement.

Keep in mind that he would have to be laying on his back under the tongue to pick the lock.

FYI for those curious ... link to manufacturer webpage with price (note pre-order discount code as of this date), hitch compatibility notes, etc: Altor SAF 2000 trailer lock for 2" hitch

Ouch $275 with the $75 pre-order discount code is expensive. I haven't looked at alternatives though so those probably aren't cheap either.

I wish this was bright orange though. If someone wants to steal the trailer they can still use the safety chains but having a bright orange ball of metal at the front of the trailer would detract more than black over the black hitch/frame.

It will chip on the ends of those fins and look terrible with black showing through. And why should someone have to spray paint it after paying $350.

I guess they're just looking at it like their other products (bike lock) and figure people want something sleek.

I will probably still get one though. Planning on parking the trailer on the side of the house and I'm a bit worried about security. Not a deal breaker that it's black. And I probably will spray paint it and occasionally recoat as needed. I want it to be impossible not to notice.

Be sure to engrave the lock with your driver licence number.
Wouldn't want it to be stolen.

Looks like the Altor SAF does not fit a yoke style coupler.
