RV GPS recomendations

Your experience / recommendations for RV specific GPS systems - preferably in dash / smart phone compatible / +stereo etc ...
or stand alone systems you like ? (want to upgrade system in tow vehicle)

There's an RV-specific GPS that now comes with a membership to RV Trip Wizard. Haven't had a chance to actually use it but, once you enter your trailer's specifics, it's supposed to chart a route for you based upon those measurements. I'm not holding my breath but we shall see. Anything has to be better than the app I was using on my phone which has led us in the wrong direction several times, almost down a dead-end street in Paso Robles, almost down a one-lane road near Mt. Lassen and down a dead-end alley in San Francisco (thankfully, that time was sans trailer ... ).

I would think your choices for in dash model would be limited to your vehicle manufacturer. I have a stand alone Rand McNally GPS which links via computer to Rand McNally trip maker software for rv's. Sometimes I use both, but normally plan out before hand and just use the vehicle GPS where it agrees to my printed itinerary.

Since I, and possibly others, plan on using a phone to navigate and don't want to replicate your experience, please share what app that is.
