Anyone know how to turn off the annoying slide up advertisement tab at the bottom of the window?

So they were added quite recently?

I feel like I'm playing wack-a-mole.

I understand that they are needed to keep the forum free, but it is quite annoying the way it slides up and down.

I use an ad-blocker and I haven’t been getting pop-up ads. You can search for it as an app. I think the one I use is just called "Ad-Blocker" but there are others like it. Also you can block pop-ups in your device settings, which this sounds like, but beware that you may need to unblock them to use certain sites such as online banking.

The DVR put an end to me watching commercials, from there streaming. I must’ve developed ad-blinders over the years.

We use Opera browser and it blocks adds it works great most of the time. Some sites wont let you on unless you disable the add blocker, but not this one.

I have a hard enough time reading on a computer screen anyway. I don't mind adds that are just text and pictures but when there is something jumping around I just leave. If its something I really want to read I'll cut and past it into a word doc.

Make sure you are logged in. More ads are shown to lurkers.
