Eric I just tried signing in on Safari, worked fine. Quite a few months ago I put Chrome on my 2010 MacBook Pro because of issues with Netflix and Safari, and since have almost exclusively used Chrome. Whenever I try Safari now it seems to work very slowly, have no idea why.

Ever since that login with Chrome, Safari on the MacBook AND on my iPad give me “You have entered an invalid username or password.“ I have even tried Tapatalk on my iPhone and even it gives me the invalid result.
I could understand if it was just on the MacBook (even though I did the normal problem solving step that usually solve any individual website weirdness) but why it now also gives me that invalid message when at login on the iPad and even on my iPhone Tapatalk is pretty hard to fathom.
Yet I can login in with Chrome using the exact same user name and password.

What's with this padlock with a red line across it? Got it on FGRV.
I've done a restart.

Glenn, that means there is secured (encrypted) content and unsecured (unencrypted) content on the page. Whenever there is mixed content your browser will alert you by displaying the red slash through the lock icon.
It's normally nothing to be concerned about unless encryption of all content is a must - like on a banking website.

Well Social Knowledge Support had no answers - clear cache and delete cookies which I had of course already done. Apparently I just get to use Chrome exclusively here now.

Well, this proved to be a very strange one to fix.
Turns out that I had not used Chrome to login here for a very long time and it still had my original password saved. When I tried Chrome for a login to see how it responded, for some mysterious reason, the Forum software accepted that long ago changed password and it then again became my current password. Both Safari and Tapatalk had my new password saved in them, and when I reset them to my old original password the Forum let me log in with them both.

Me too. Mostly Safari works fine but it can be a bit touchy so Chrome is the back-up.

While I love my Mac, it does sometimes present unusual problems. One that I repeatedly have with both the Escape & Fiberglass RV forums when using Safari is a page half loading, then freezing. Most often happens when the connection is a bit slow, but doesn't happen using Firefox. Quit Safari, restart it & all is good for awhile. Since I believe the software for both forums is based on the same core, I have to assume it is a Safari/website problem. When frozen, I can switch to any other forum than those two, & everything works fine.

Seems like my issues started right after the last Sierra upgrade

Jon I’ve seen that exact same problem, but unlike Jim, mine has been doing that longer than the High Sierra update.

Having another computer or website glitch. When I first log in I see maybe 5 unread posts. After clicking and reading one, the others are no longer in bold, indication unread status? I do not sign off, just close the window and when I come back this is happening.

Not happening to me with Chrome. I can minimize, then bring back up, and bolding on unread threads stays the same.

That happens to me frequently, and has for years. Read all the unread posts, no more in bold, then close the browser. Next visit, they're in bold again, indicating unread.

I sometimes see all the bolded ones gone as well, usually just figure Beth's read them on her iPad which is signed on with my id, since she doesn't have one!

Happens to me from time to time. No pattern that I can detect.
MacBook Air, Firefox.
