are posts reviewed before posted?

Help please:
I did my first post as a reply early this morning but don't see it posted.

Are posts reviewed by the moderators before posting? And if so, how long might it take before it posts? Also, if this is how it works, it would be nice if that info was listed in the "Forum Help | Announcements | Suggestion Box" section.

If not, does anyone have any idea why it wouldn't show up?

They are not reviewed by the moderators before posting. They are however run through software that looks for preset rules violations, which is what you ran into. One of the rules it does not allow is folks with less then 10 posts to post links.


I just approved it so you should see it now.


We don't watch the forum 24/7 so things may take a while.

We used to get a dozen or so spammers a day at FGRV (sister site) who would register and post links in their first post. Thus the implementation of this filter so it never got into the general population. We just had to go through these moderated posts, delete them, and ban the spammer. Not too many these days though, they must have found another scam to get into.

Thank you both for the help and explanations.

We have been lurking and learning about our 21' Escape on this forum since early 2015. Obviously, posting is our downfall, but we now have almost 3yrs with our Escape and have found a few things we are willing to recommend...

Yes, just don't include hot links. If you need to provide that sort of info, spell it out or add a space (or two) so it doesn't convert to a hot link.
