Battery question for Escape 19

Hi all,
Please forgive my lack of insight into electrical things and probably lack of memory. I am getting ready for the first trip of the year and had a question regarding my batteries. (see photos) When these batteries are in series do they only show up as battery 1? I tried to toggle between batteries and it only shows battery 1. The multi meter shows about 7.4 volts at each battery and the charging shows 100% I just need a reminder on how to read these when in series so that I don't head out one battery shy of a full charge - so to speak.

Yes, two 6V batteries in series make one 12V battery.

thanks Ron...I just realized that I actually posted this to the wrong forum. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. These batteries are 5 years old and I'm just waiting for them to show their age.
Much appreciated

At 5 unless you’ve been diligent with watering and maintenance I.E. not a serious discharge to very low voltage, then I’d consider replacement. They will last s long time with regular maintenance

Thanks, I've been lucky so far and have probably been bailed out by solar keeping the charge up when I'm not paying attention.
Have not had a serious discharge but at the age of the batteries I will definitely be watching the gauge more closely this year.
thanks for the reply
