Birth of a Fiberglass Trailer

I don't know if this is the right place for this (or even if it belongs on the Escape Forum) but I've been following a thread at the Fiberglass Trailer forum by Robert Johans on the ground up process of building a new fiberglass trailer - the Nest Caravan and find it fascinating. Lots of photos of the mold construction & forming process. If you haven't seen it, it is worth a visit.

We looked at the Nest prior to settling on Escape. I loved the innovative design and sleek look. Not sufficiently winter capable for us though.

Robert Johans is a perfectionist. I've been fortunate enough to physically see some of his Egg Plant rebuilds. I think the Nest will suit a particular customer base. I hope he'll bring a Nest to a future NOG.

He is trying hard to build as much perfection into a small trailer as possible, and is doing a good job at it. It will come at a very premium cost though.
