Coleman Mach

Can someone please tell me how to find any information on operating the Coleman Mach air conditioner. The booklet provided is of no help. This is Bluetooth but my app store shows nothing. I don’t even know how to turm this dang thing on or off. Thanks. Frustrated in South Carolina.

I'll take a look in the morning. I think you have to press a couple of buttons on the unit and then pair to your phone. It was easy but I can't remember the steps.

I just had to get a new phone this week and re-pair.

The app works nice once paired.

Pairing Your Coleman Mach Bluetooth Thermostat (HOW TO!)
Download the RV Climate app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Open the app and select ADD NEW THERMOSTAT. [ ...
On the thermostat, hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for five seconds to enter PAIRING mode.
On the app, select PAIR NEW THERMOSTAT.

I had the same experience. Very frustrating. I had to ask a neighbor for help. He looked at it and then paired it no problem. I can do it now. It does seem to just keep working and working without problems. I really like it now.

If I have a future problem I will look up WillyB.

Mine won’t stay paired. I just use the buttons. I can pair and use it two or three days and then it loses connection and I have to repair. I finally gave up. It’s not important to me.

Maybe try and delete the app and reinstall it, just a long shot.

I am waiting for some warmer weather to hit and test out my new boon-docking AC setup.
I followed instructions from someone with much more knowledge than I am close to having on this-thank you Bob G. Especially kind considering my lack of experience with solar.
It’s working but the real test will be in the solar and battery capabilities. My cats travel in the camper, hopefully it cools enough for them to stay chill on the highways.
The little hand saw works great on the Escape material.
A work in progress probably, but nothing ventured nothing gained…

I deleted and reinstalled 3 or 4 times. It lasted a few days each time. I bagged it. It’s not important to me. If it worked reliably - great. If not, I don’t want it.

Mine worked great on my iPhone 8 but since I recently switched to the newer iPhone 13 it has been hit & miss.

The Airxcel app is probably the worst designed app I have ever used. I truly think it was used by the engineering team during the design and testing phase, then they just put it out for us consumers with no regard for its actual usability. What would it take to hire one person that knew what they were doing to redesign the app with human factors in mind. It would certainly make their customers more satisfied with the Coleman experience.

Although I have learned how to pair it and operate it using the phone app, I still find it frustrating at times. Once in a while the app takes a long time, maybe 20 seconds, to sort things out and then start working. I don't know if it is working and just sorting things out or if it isn't going to work. That is when I get a little anxiety.

I do like the system because of the numerous operating options and I like the phone app because I can operate it from bed or where ever.
