Is something weird with the forum?

I've lost 2 posts today to the Escape forum ether; gone, baby, gone forever. This has not been a regular occurrence. My ISP? Or the forum software? I dunno. Frustrating, that I do know.

I haven't noticed anything nor lost anything, but I don't typically write long posts either. Perhaps it timed out for you?

Tip: write your post in Notepad (or the like), if you can. Then copy and paste into a reply window. That way you have your original if you lose the post.

The same happened to me last night - long responses to two people who'd offered me advice. With most of what I'd written still on my mind, I opened Word, wrote my responses, then copied and transferred them here on the forum. From now on, I'll compose in Word and copy, because as you noted, losing what you've written is frustrating!

Stay safe!

I think, if you get long-winded, you can just select the copy you have written and copy.

If it disappears for some reason, you can just paste.

No need to import it into some other program ( although that would be safer ).
BTW. Just getting into Season Three of Ozarks.

Really good.

re: "...if you get long-winded, you can just select the copy you have written and copy."

That's what I do, in Word. It gives me time to compose my thoughts thoughtfully and also keeps spelling errors, etc., from sneaking past the sensors.

Fuel

Hi Tom
You need to burn a higher class of coal, I’m talking clean coal, anthracite baby. That will produce more heat which will boil your water much hotter generating more steam to spin your turbine faster to then generate more wattage to better power your Commodore and not get those frustrating brownouts that cause data loss. I’ll send a couple guys from Alliant Energy that are on unemployment down here up to give you some pointers. Anything for a friend.

Or you can do what I lazily do sometimes, which is to open a second tab or window to the forum, and click on it occasionally to keep myself logged in, so when my post evolves into a long winded one, I'm still logged in.
