Yes, I have an edit now (that magically appeared suddenly!). But I have looked back at posts I made yesterday or the day before and see no way to edit them. Do we have a few hours maybe or how do you edit those?

There is a window, currently 1 hour for changes. We are discussing this now in the back room!!

One hour. How about 48? I don't think many people notice their mistakes or omissions for a while, maybe until they happen to see their post again, perhaps after someone's response. I was thinking that Fiberglass RV had 24. Guess not. This forum moves more slowly than others.

The one hour will allow corrections to be made to the original post in a timely manner. If there are other posts subsequent then correcting the original could differ the responses. After one hour there will be a moderator note that will allow the formation of an historical context. There have been instances for example in the for sale forums where changes could effect the price. Thus the reason for the one hour.

I noticed that too, it sure does seem really strange. I noticed an error in an old post, and could not change it. This is not very common in most other sites I peruse. Sometimes a link needs to be changed or corrected to, not just correcting grammatical errors.

I don't really think there needs to be a time out on editing, or at least it should be a day or two.
