Owners Map

I haven't looked at the Owners Map (why no apostrophe??) in quite some time. What has happened to it? There are only three colors and the key is all goofy.

Looks a mess.
The problem is, I think anybody can edit it, and somebody did.

I've inquired if it is possible to restore the map to a previous version. Hope so.

There is a long discussion about this issue here: http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f3...-map-3349.html

A member set up this map and retains control, not the forum administration. I see the map and it seems to be ok? Is the issue the pin colors?

I have said before, that I believe what we need is something that is not editable. We would just need one person, or maybe a couple, that handle it. It would not be a bad idea that the site team could access should it be needed too. Other than the initial setup, all it would take is a PM from someone with a new trailer, or change of trailer or location, to send a PM with the details they would like to do, and for the map master to add them, which would take very little time. They could also send a picture if they want one included, though it seems very few use that feature.

Right now with anyone being able to change anything on the maps, all it takes is for someone to make some simple global map error, and mess everything up.

Now that it's restored has it been decided how it will be updated?

Map belongs to Codeman. He set it up.
Individuals update it. Codeman backs it up from time to time so it can be restored.

only from memory..
Click on "Larger Map" at the bottom of the map. Then keep enlarging the map until you can select your pin. Then press and hold to move it.

Like Glen said. Maybe have to login to Google? (I was already logged in on another tab.)

I moved your pin to the middle of the Sandia Park label on the map.

I just tried this, so know it works.

- Click on the "Owners Map" at the top of the page.
- Click on the "Escape Trailers" link at the bottom of the map.
- Left click on your marker, which enables editing of details. You can the use your pointer to click/hold and drag the marker.

I'm pretty sure one has to have an account and be logged in to Google to make changes on the map. (Edited: When I go to a Google site, it always seems to know who I am so I must have logged in permanently at some point.)

Off thread topic: I see, Jim B., that you have a 2016 5.0 TA in your avatar but a 2017 5.0 TA in your signature. What gives and what do you know that no one else knows?

Going to go for the 2017 model. I guess I should change my user info, I missed that, thanks.

I am looking for one of those for myself. Well, maybe just a younger one.
