Photo Help

I would like to sell my 19' foot Escape trailer. I have an Apple computer and have been trying to post pictures in the "for sale forum" but I don't know how to size them so that the pictures will upload. Are there any Apple experts out there?

I don't bother sizing the picture before posting. The site software seems to be able to do it for you. You just have to wait until it no longer says 'uploading'.
This pic, for instance was 795 KB. I'm on a MacBook Air.

Thank you. The upload box shows that the pictures are uploaded but for some reason the color wheel won't stop spinning.

Can take several minutes to upload. However, I don't see any spinning colour wheel.
Here is an illustrated guide that works.

If you are still spinning your wheel, I'd quit the browser and restart. If that doesn't do it, then clear history / cookies.

Here's how you can tell if the photos are finished uploading to the post.

First, in Manage Attachments, you'll see the name of the file under Current Attachments. (picture 1)

Second, in Additional Options, you'll see the name of the attachment under the Attach Files section. (picture 2)

If you don't see the attachment name, the file is either still uploading, or your browser probably has an extension issue or a cache issue. So, try clearing the browser cache and restarting it as Glenn suggested, or disabling browser extensions and restarting.

Help

I have an Apple computer. I've been trying to post pictures on this site. Earlier I posted a thread asking for help and received many detailed responses but I can't get the pic's to post. Is there some way a moderator could help me?

Just downsize them in Preview first. I found full size pics took a very long time to upload so I usually do that. It's under Tools and Resize.

I do not post photos the way others say they do. I write a sentence in the text area (or it won't work.). Then scroll down to Manage Attachments under Additional Options. Hit to bring up one of your photos --- Choose File. Then hit to download. Then wait. You should have some indication that it is downloading. Takes a minute maybe, although others say longer. Then close that window. You can preview the post to see if the photo downloaded, just the way you do for a regular post.
