Posting issue

For the last 2 or 3 weeks I get double lines for a return when I write a post. Like this.

That should be a single blank line. I hot a return after the period, then 1 more for the blank line.

I can go back in edit mode and delete one of the blank lines and it comes out correctly, like this one.

Anyone have a fix for this? Windows 10 on a Thinkpad laptop.

I'm also running Windows 10 on a Thinkpad laptop, with current updates. I am not having that issue, so it's probably not being caused directly by either of those factors.

Thanks. I just tried it with Chrome and that is okay, so it's a Firefox thing. I'll see what I can dig up on it.

The solution is to use another browser or change your account settings to use the basic reply editor instead of the wysiwyg editor. This seems to happen every so often with browser updates.

I get it all the time on this forum, using Win 7 and Firefox. I usually just edit my post afterward to delete the extra lines. Not sure I want to bother with another browser. Bad enough that I need a new O.S.!

Just changed to the Standard editor, looks like it's working now.

Thanks

Firefox on any platform. The text editor places hard returns at odd places when interpreting paragraphs. Firefox is quirky!
