Site updates and Mobile App Changes Today

Over the next couple of days we are going to be making some changes to the site to improve security and stability and you may see some slow page loads as systems update. App users in particular may have trouble connecting until service providers and app installations update. There are some things you can do if your app is acting up to help improve connections.

Clear your devices cache
Uninstall the app
Cycle your device off and then on
Reload the app

If this is unsuccessful, waiting a few hours and then repeating the process may be all that's needed. In the interim, this site has a simple mobile version that is quite nice - no app needed. All you need to do is navigate to the site on a regular browser and the mobile view should open.

We understand that not being able to log in through usual means causes frustration but we take site security seriously and these are needed updates. Thanks in advance for your patience.

I've searched the App store on my iPhone for Escape Forum, Escape Trailer, etc. and have never found the app.

Found the site through Safari, but I have no intention of re-programming my brain to use it.
I just look at "Recent Discussions" on the right side of the screen ( on my Mac ) and if it is in bold, it's not read. I don't see that on my phone.

Glenn you can select "unread" on the app and it will only show what you haven't read, much like the "recent discussions" on the website.

Cheers

Thanks, but I've not found the app itself, just the site using Safari. I'll try to find "unread". I do have FGRV app on my iphone.

I use the app all the time, even more than my PC, as I am rarely in the office these days. I check for the unread posts like Doug mentioned, and it works good.

I am pretty sure Tapatalk is on Apple too, though can't be certain.

But, Tapatalk isn't the app, is it?
I'm asking where the app is.
Does it exist for iPhone?

OK, I think I have it figured out now, but I'm going to wait until Forum IT has all its ducks in the air.

I didn't like the app

I tried tapatalk, but I got too many notifications. Decided I prefer the website via safari on my iPad. But other may choose differently.

I downloaded it and said 'no' to notifications.
I can't find 'unread' or how to mark everything as read.

I don't have 'unread' there. It says 'People' on right and 'Subforums' on left.

I'm in no rush to figure this out. I'm still trying to figure out FaceBook and found a group of fellow ex-employees in news biz. I've worked my way back to 2014 and so far I'm not one of the obits.

Site updates and Mobile App Changes Today

Glenn open the settings. (little gear at the far right)

Then select unread or what ever other menus you want to see.

Mine doesn't have as many, or the same items.
What are you doing May 27, 2016?
