Microsoft's browser for Windows 10 is Edge. I was curious so I fired that up and checked (it's what I'm using to post this)… no problems. This seems to be very specific to one instance of Firefox on Windows 10.

More than 1 instance. Not a one off. See previous posts. I am simply using Chrome instead og Firefox until I can find a resolution.

Good point - two instances.
I was curious, so I just downloaded Firefox (I haven't used it in years) to my Windows 10 PC, and I'm using it to post this response... without errors.
I don't know what the problem is, but it appears to be specific to some installations, not the browser or the operating system (or even this browser and and operating system combination) in general.

I’m having the exact same problem as OP. It’s frustrating. I’m using latest Firefox on a MacBook Pro. When I switch to my iPad (like now) everything works normally. -Tom

Maybe it’s something to do with living in Wisconsin. I know Tom had a problem when he dropped an Iowa Hedge apple (Maclura pomifera) on his flip phone one time.
Just kidding, hope you get it cleared up.

If you are getting logged out at page changes (as you navigate around the forum) this is most likely a cookie handling issue. We use cookies to keep you logged in at page changes.
There are several places on a PC you may need to adjust this setting.
1. In your browser settings. This is the most likely culprit.
2. Settings in your security or virus procession software
3. Settings in your Operating system.
Also - be sure to tick the remember me button on the login screen. As an aside we've had a lot of trouble tickets with the recent Firefox update. Login issues, issues with the extra lines being added to replies, etc. We can't fix your browser issues but understand the frustration. You might try using Chrome...

Chrome is what I am using right now. I'll work the problem, but I don't need still another project.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Others have helped you with the tech issue - good info.
I'm just adding my two cents' worth: Haven't hear that familiar phrase in - probably - 40 decades?!!!
Thank you, love it!

mimie, you're showing your vintage with your recognition.
And yes, that's the Superman editors shout about.

mimie,
As I re-read your post............I trust and hope you didn't MEAN 40 decades........but a mere 4. Nobody is 40 decades old, I hope. Oh...on second thought, maybe George Burns.

A decade is 10 years. Were you thinking a century?

Donna, I stand corrected. My excuse is, I was, at the time, thinking & working in "dog years".
I believe that explains the discrepancy.
