Another from central California jumping in.
Greetings to all of you Escape enthusiasts from Allan and Mimi in Santa Cruz, CA.
We have recently joined your ranks with our order of an 17A which has a hatch date of December 14, 2015.
A tip of the hat goes out to lieb in Santa Cruz who kindly showed us his 17B. And also to dfandrews and KarenH for their posts which showed us the divine path to the A option.
I am a self-employed cabinet-maker while Mimi is a recently retired veterinary technician. With her retirement, our schedule is now very flexible and we expect to be traveling the highways in 2016. A cross-country trip to see New England in the Fall is in the works.
Our tow vehicle will be our trusty V6 2000 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 with tow package. Although a little long in years she still runs strong.
Also along for the ride will be our 9 year-old black lab -- Abby (also still running strong).
While many options on the build sheet are easy decisions to make, others are daunting. So I will be posting many questions in the other forums very soon. We are already very thankful for the great information that you all provide on this forum.
We are looking forward to meeting all of you on down the road.
Allan & Mimi

Santa Cruz is going to be overflowing with Escapes soon ... and that's a good thing! Welcome.
We stopped one day and talked with Lieb (such a great engineer too!) and, of course, Bob (SantaCruzer) was invaluable when it came to answering our questions and introducing us to the Escape. You're going to love your trailer!

Welcome, Allan and Mimi, to the Light Side of the Escape club. You will have so much fun poring over threads on this forum as you make your decision; all the info is here somewhere. Just remember that the basic Escape trailer is very much a stellar product in itself. Try to distinguish between "need" and "want" and "should do now" and "can do later." In the end, there are no wrong decisions. Again, welcome!

Wecome, Allan & Mimi.
Congratulations on an excellent choice in size and model.
California is becoming quite the haven for Escapes; hope to see you during our travels.

Welcome Allan and Mimi. We chose the wee 17 as well and I bet you are as excited as we are.

Welcome Alan and Mimi from another central Californian in Clovis. Any one of the Escape trailers is a good choice. I'm sure you'll love it.

We chose the "wee 17" as well, but the darn thing grew 2 feet before we went to pick it up. Don't know how that happened.

We were sold on the Casita 17 for a year then discovered the Escape 19, and that ended up growing by a couple of feet. The picture of the Casita that we brought back from their factory and had on our fridge is sitting in a beautiful field of blue flowers. I think those were bluebonnets. As for catching that 2 ft illness, some things can be contagious. Loren
