Smile Another Newbie but from the UK

Hi All,

We are a retired UK couple new to RV.Trailers but we have a holiday place in Comox, BC that we come over from the UK to each year for the summer. We are looking at trailers to branch out into BC mainland, etc. Fishing is a big part of what we do and having done a 12 day camping trip around the Cariboo this year plus trip up to Port Hardy, etc. As I said above we are completely new to RVing but now want a suitabletrailer to get around in with some comfort and provide flexibility to get in and out of smaller national park sites. We have a 2018 F150 3.5l Ecoboost, XLT Crew Cab, 6ft box & Cap with all the 4 x 4 extras you can get so no problem with tow capacity. So far wittled down the choices to to the Escape 21ft, Big Foot2500/ 21ft and the Arctic Fox 22G. We favour the fibreglass pod designs plus buying Canadian over a classic Trailer like the AF but all 3 are top end products and we now need to fine tune this to the one we want a place an order. We do not plan on using it now until 2019 as we will be back in the UK over winter.

We plan to visit the Escape factory and the fall RV show in BC. So far we have seen the AF22G down at our local RV dealer Sunwest. The Escape 21 with most of the extras ticked seems to deliver what we could need and the Big Foot is a huge price jump. So we would welcome guidance good and bad, etc from you learned RVer's and owners. We do not have a budget restriction but quality, value and resale are the main consideration in our final choice.

Look forward to hearing from you

If you are looking for quality, value, and resale, it sounds like you might be describing an Escape. Loren

Comox, beautiful area!!
You are right at also looking at Escape! Especially that ETI is close by, in case you need something done. Wether it's maintenance, warranty, adding options, etc.

Welcome, John.

All the best in your search. An Escape would work great for what you are describing.

Bigfoot are nice trailers too, just heavier and wider than an Escape.
