Tennessean(s),

Next available completion dates for 21' are September 23 & 26. Anyone willing to wait on me?

Something odd on the delivery thing. I seem to recall asking Tammy in an email how much delivery to Goshen Indiana would be if we were the only trailer on the truck, and how much if the truck was full. And she told me the delivery charge would be the same regardless of how many were on it. But I've seen y'all and others on here mention cost savings if delivery costs were split. I'll have to go back and find that email.

That is odd indeed. I just copied this from their website :

DELIVERY SCHEDULE
We do offer trailer delivery throughout North America for those owners who are unable to pick their trailer up. The cost for delivery is calculated per mile and the rate is determined by how many trailers we are able to schedule at the same time. A significant savings occurs when we are able to schedule two or more trailers on the same truck to the same geographical location. (Updated 1May2015)

I called ETI and spoke to Leah. She confirmed the information on the website, shown above. I wish I had thought to ask her how much it would cost to get a truck from there to here, as I have not one clue.

Found my email from Tammy.

My question to her was:
I know that the delivery schedule for next year is not set you, so you can't give me exact answers, but if we decided to go with delivery to Goshen, about what would that cost us if we were the only trailer on the truck? And what would that cost us if the truck were full? And lastly, when will we need to decide delivery versus pickup?

And her response to that was:
The cost for delivery to Goshen, IN is $3,000cdn regardless of how many trailers are on the truck. This is a regular route for the delivery company as they often travel to Goshen every three weeks. We do like to know about delivery by your confirmation date so we can begin coordinating schedules.

Hmmmm....that is perplexing...

I can read that two ways:

1. Everybody pays $3000.
2. The trip costs $3000, regardless of how many trailers are on the truck.

How can we be certain? Web site says costs can be split. Leah says costs can be split. Tammy's email might indicate otherwise.

You know, I'll bet that #2 is right, I did not initially take it that way, but in going back and re-reading it, I can see that you are probably right on that. I wonder how many they can fit on a truck?

At least three, because the website said "two or more".

Hmmmm...if we could get our delivery cost under $1000, we could certainly consider it...

And Tammy's email said $3000 Canadian.

Tell ya what...let me talk this over with my husband this weekend, you Tennesseans think about if you can wait on our prospective egg to hatch to take delivery, and we'll talk Monday?

Heck, maybe a fourth trailer might hop on the truck!

There was a fellow down in Alabama who just recently reached out to me about the possibility of splitting costs. So if 4 will fit on a truck, maybe so. Now that would be great.

Not positive, but I don't think 4 will fit on the truck.

When I had mine delivered I asked Tammy about the difference in costs if there was just one trailer loaded or 3, I was told there was no difference. The shared cot thing may just be another urban legend.

If it's an urban legend, somebody should tell ETI.

I suspect she means the total delivery cost is the same per delivery, regardless of how many are on there (ie, total cost is $3000 Canadian). And if yours is the only on there then you bear the entire cost but if there are 2 or 3 on there then you split the cost

Great! Russ is ready to pull the trigger on this, and I'm white knuckled frozen in fear! We don't even have a tow! He drives a 2012 Elantra and I drive a 1996 Corolla Wagon (only broke down ONCE in its 20 years).

Gonna decide for sure this weekend. I'll be in touch.
