Campsite recommendations for Midwest

Living in St. Louis, we are scheduled for delivery of our Escape 21NE in about three weeks in Kansas City. Wondering if anyone has recommendations for campsites for just the two of us, something wooded, beautiful and natural, but with hookups?
Thanks.

Turkey Run State Park. This one is a favorite, but there are many in southern Indiana. It is a little drive for you. Another is Brown County State Park, simply a gem. Shades State Park is another nice park.

We hiked this as a part of an undergraduate exercise at Purdue one year. Very nice hiking and lovely natural bridges.

Fern Clyff State Park

Fern Clyff State Park is located near Gorville, IL, not all that far from St. Louis. There is plenty of good hiking in the area as well as a "Wine Trail" that takes you to many wineries. The park is located in the Shawee National Forrest. "Garden of the Gods", outstanding scenery, isn't far away either.... Good Luck.
