Thumbs up Deposit on E19, looking for used as well

Very excited to have just put a deposit on an E19 build. It's been a couple of years of researching options to get to this point and we're happy with the decision. We're also looking for a used E19 (or perhaps a 21NE) in case that approach is faster.

It's been 25 years since we sold our 26' class C and we're looking forward to returning to RVing. My old 4Runner still runs like a champ but it's not up to towing the 19, so it'll be time for a new tow vehicle. We'll likely have plenty of time to find one.

Welcome to Escape World, and good luck on your search for a new/used Escape trailer! Be ready to jump on any opportunity for used, both here and on Escape’s website (listed there in the Pre-Owned section). They seem to sell very, very quickly.

If a new one is in your future, hopefully your wait won’t be quite as long as your current completion date. Your date may not be accelerated as much ours has been, but when we made our deposit in March 2021 our completion date was March 2023. We’re now scheduled in May of this year (and could’ve even jumped another month or two earlier if we hadn’t decided May works best for us).

The silver lining about waiting for a new Escape trailer is that there are so many custom options, you will truly end up with a trailer “built for you” as the slogan says.

I put my deposit for a 19 in Dec., a 8/23 built. I just bought a used 19, & I'm in NC. So it happens. 1st know what you just HAVE to have on one, what you can maybe do yourself/replace later, Take tours(some people are just "thinking" of something new, you might hear it 1st), read & check in here & fb group, etc. often, & figure out how you can be ready pull the money FAST! I personally think there ARE a more out there, than you might think. Since the up grade weight wise is not much, many find they think a 21 will fit better. I think there will be a LOT Hitting the market once the 23' production starts up.

Having sold ourselves on the value of an Escape trailer, it's hard to wait for that build date. But we're actively looking for used and will be prepared to jump if we find one that meets our few must-haves. One of those is solar as I don't relish having to mount panels and run wires in a trailer not already prepped for them. I did that on our Class C, routing wires down the refrigerator vent stack, but I want this install to be cleaner.

We did just decide that a 21NE gives us more flexibility for not much more cost & weight than a 19. I hope to find a used 21NE well before our build date, and I'm sure you're right that more will appear once the new 23's start rolling out the door.

The 21 New Edition is relatively new, I doubt there are any used yet....

Ah, I didn’t know that. We just learned of the Escape line recently and don’t know when the different models were released. Are those dates listed somewhere?
