First Thread!
Hi All!
I have been Lurking here for a few years and have got a pile of great info off this Forum. Thanks everyone for the great info!
We picked up our 21, "The Pickled Egg", on July 16th and have been right across the country in it. We're in Newfoundland right now and are sooo happy with the trailer! We are full time now and we couldn't have picked a more perfect home. We started our journey in March with the sale of our house and headed south in our old trailer. If anyone wants to see where we have been just check out our blog shadowfaxandthepickledegg.wordpress.com.
Our plan is to head from here down the eastern seaboard to the Keys then across the bottom of the states and into Mexico for a few months. We have to be back at work in May for 4 months in BC and then on to the next adventure!
If anyone is on the fence about this Trailer, please don't be. It's the best out there.
Tight Lines,
James

Hi James,
We met earlier thus summer at Belle 2, we were in the 19er just beginning our trip north. Good to see you got going ok in the 21. We are now in New York, soon to be in Maine then on our way back to TX. If you get near San Antonio we have driveway space available.

Great to hear from you Steve! I hope your adventures have been as amazing as ours so far. I will let you know when we are cruising through Texas. It would be awesome to see you both again!

I think that it would be great if you could start a new thread for a discussion on rv'ing in Mexico.

Thanks for that Donna! We actually stayed on the beach in Pescadero in 2012 for about 4 weeks in our old trailer. Can't wait to get back!

Hi Fox Hunt. Our travels have been down to Baja. It is very easy to travel even if you do not speak spanish. Most of the people you meet in RV's down there are Canadian believe it or not. When we cross the border we usually drive 4-5 hours out of the border towns and begin camping on some amazing beaches. You will go through 3 or 4 Military checkpoints on the way to Cabo but they are really their for the tourists protection. Super friendly young guys that will take a quick look at your rig. Note: 2 things one does not bring into Mexico, guns and drugs. Everything else is all good. you should be ready to be self sufficient as there are not many "plug in campgrounds" Most are on the beach and have a long drop toilette and a palapa and amazing beach front parking. Usually this will cost $5.00 per night. The people are amazing down there. Sooo friendly and helpful. We will be heading down some time in December so follow our blog and feel free to ask questions!
