Smile Full time in 17B?

This is my 1st posting. I will pick up a new 17B in early June. I have joined Escapees RV Club. I've read many books and articles on full timing over the past 10 years. I'm a solo RVer with little experience, but I'm considering full timing in my 17B. Is that feasible? I'm a minimalist and non-materialist person, so I don't have or need much "stuff." I hope this posting works. Thanks.

While I don't full time, I "long time" in a 17B. Along with a few short trips I went 111 days in 2011 when I picked up the trailer in Chilliwack, and 138 days last year (The links are to my journals of the trips).

I travel solo & tow with a 2010 V6 with Tow Package RAV4.

Hi, Cyclopath! There are people out there who full-time in such trailers and prefer the small size. Most have much larger trailers, of course. You give no indication of your life situation. Questions on full timing are answered in quadruple on the Escapees forum. There is no one I can think of on this Escape forum who full times although Jon comes close.

Full- timing usually involves a great deal of consideration on many matters and they are all covered on the other forum. There are those who planned to full-time and then realized that they really needed a house some of the time for hobbies or whatever. Also, keep in mind that no one full-times forever and they all get off of the road at some point. (Unless they happen to die unexpectedly.) Need a back-up plan. In any case, this forum cannot give you much on the subject but Escapees has a wealth of information.

You should google RVSueandcrew.com. She seems to be the quintessential "Full Time off the grid" model. She lives in a 17 Casita with her 2 dogs.
