Future Escape 5.0 Owner

Hi, everyone -

My name is Stacey. I have been ALL over with what I want, and now I am very much leaning toward the Escape fifth wheel for a lot of reasons. I plan on starting another thread with what my plans are because I could use some advice and maybe perspective (like, am I crazy for what I am planning or not? )

But besides all that, I am really excited and so happy to have found this forum!

You’re not crazy. Or else we all are too. Welcome aboard.

What non-craziness are you planning?

Hi: tabularasa... Welcome!!! Just got back from 2 months in the sunny south. Not our first rodeo but the best by far. Our 5.0TA was the second one made of this iteration and the quality of build IMHO is the best!!! Where ever we tow we get personal likes, and folks who want a tour. There are things I like about the classic, and the new straight side trailer. It's all personal likes. Alf

Yes, These are the best trailers on the market. Ask me, #5 was a FG Trillium, #6 was an Escape 17B, #7 waiting at the factory!

The only other RV I would consider has a diesel in the trunk.

We love our 2016 19 Escape, and it will probably be our last trailer, but if we ever do upgrade, it will be to a 5.0. Just love the layout of them

Haha! Ok well that IS reassuring. I'll always know I'm not alone.

It involves saving first, then quitting of our jobs. (So I guess not TOO nuts since there is some longish-term planning involved.)

Not nuts at all. Sadly, it’s a minority of folk who ever really escape the worker bee lifecycle - the one that usually ends when you die, or just a few years before, when you’re too old to actually DO the stuff you’ve dreamed about.

Have you seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? The newish one with Ben Stiller. It’s a delightful tale of this very thing.

Don’t just dream dreams. Live them.

I have not seen that but my boyfriend has, and I know of it. I will put that on my list! Thank you.

And you are so right. I will pretty much launch into a diatribe daily if I'm not too careful haha. I always find myself needing to reel it in at my job
