Just put down a deposit on a 19'. December feels like an eternity away...... First time RVer so I'm happy to find such a great resource for information.

I think we have most of it figured out, still some questions about insulating the bottom, whether or not to get the inverter with disconnect etc. Looks like another trip to Chilliwack is in order.

My advice is get all the options you can afford. I didn’t get some small options and one big one ( back up camera). I went back to ETI in May and had them installed, couldn’t be happier.

Concur. It’s cheaper to get things during the initial build, not only because the price on stuff always goes up, but also because there is a modest amount added to cover labor for things added later.

We had a bunch of stuff added onto our new-to-us 17B when we bought it, and the upcharge above what those options would have cost at that time over same items installed during manufacture was many hundreds of dollars.

Duly noted......I've actually been thinking about regrets I might have down the road (no pun intended) if I chose to opt out of something that I thought would be useful simply to save a few dollars off the final bill. Haven't turned in the final build sheet so I'll be revisiting it yet again! Kind of fun if I'm honest.

Previously we've owned 14 campers, all of them used, a number of them only took one trip. Our 5.0 TA was our first new camper. We don't, and still don't, need an inverter so that saved us money. YMMV.

Aside from items most order (foot flush toilet or removable power cord for example), things we ordered and don't regret:

High lift axle
220 amps of AGM batteries (we actually brought those)
170 watt solar package
Exterior 12v/USB outlet
Changed interior TV outlet from 110 to 12v/USB
Two extra interior 12v/USB outlets
Four additional captains reading lamps
Reinforce bathroom wall
22" deep u-shaped dinette with split 4" back cushions
Filler cushions for dinette

Our u-shape dinette with all the options cost $1,300 and was worth every penny.

We did not have the dinette table installed so the dinette floor is flat and smooth. On rare occasions we use a portable table.

We do wish we would have reinforced the refrigerator and stove walls to hang items where we want. That's the only item we left off our build sheet.

We did purchase the counter extensions for the dinette, but didn't have them installed. They way we live the extensions only would have been in the way. They sit in the garage. We use simple beverage trays to hold our drinks, and condiments so if they spill are contained by the tray. If you spill off the counter extension the fluid will go all over the dinette cushions anyway. We spill quite frequently, even at home!

You're better off ordering all that you can afford, rather than pinch pennies and regret your savings.
