We currently own a Casita 17 ft travel travel trailer that we really like. Having decided to go "full time rv" we have decided to purchase an Escape 21 for a bit more room. Another consideration is that, with insulation upgrades, it appears to be more winter friendly. We will miss the Casita, but look forward to the Escape.

Welcome Mike to our Escape world, specifically the E21 Escape. Any questions on your build or anything, feel free to ask.

Apparently there are two new Escape models coming out next year. If I were going full timing I might be inclined to wait a year and see what the offerings are. Unless the 21 is the sure thing for what you want. Maybe a 23....

As far as winter friendly. Escape trailers are not well insulated for real winter use, meaning below freezing. Short stints, yes, but for comfortable living I’d say no.

We camp more in the winter than summer and routinely stay out with temperatures down to single digits. As long as we have electric we will camp and have done so for past 7 years without any issues. With the furnace or electric heater on, foam spray, thermal windows and extra insulation has kept us warm inside. We winterize the trailer unless water is available and we carry a heated water hose.
