Greeting from the Montreal area!

Greeting everybody
My wife Miriam and myself Allen, wish to thank you for your community. We are both early sixties retirees. We love travelling but are newbie to RV. We have extensive experience travelling using the Best Western register. But one of our dream has been the Alaska highway and since you get up there…well might as well take a look around. Our reading shows that hotel is not financially feasible and always practical. So last year we rented an RV (class C) to experiment if we would be comfortable with this type of travelling. We loved it but knew that we needed an option where trailing would be involved.
So, this year we got ourselves a RAM 1500 with a 3 l. diesel motor. Our plan is to hook a 21 ft. 5th-wheel, turn the music on and go. Being new at this, we found it hard to find small light trailers that are reliable. This week after some months of research I finally stumbled on a Youtube video by a girl (Brenda I think) and then the world of fiberglass trailer was revealed to me.
So here we are, naïve, lost and eager to start this wonderful journey

Welcome Miriam and Allen!

You have come to a wonderful community of really great folks.

We ourselves started with a 17' Casita, and after 5 years moved up to a 21' 2017 Escape.

We had questions, of course, and the folks here are great.

have fun, and welcome!

John

There are probably Escape trailers in your area for you to view.
Get in touch with Escape industries and they can usually connect you with someone.
We all like to show off our trailers.

Escape Trailer Industries – Chilliwack, British Columbia

And to me the 21 foot Escape is outstanding.

Thanks everybody

I have already contacted Escape Industries and they have indeed referred me owners in the area. As soon as I have an opening I am going to contact the name provided in North River, NY.
This is so exciting, it's like getting my first vehicle!

Discover over sixty.... The world opens up for you!
Hi Miriam and Allen. With your Ram all your options are open. Give ETI a call. Tour some Escape trailers. See which floor plan appeals to you.
Very exciting!

Our 19 will be located about 50 miles closer to you than North River until August 20th. I'd be open to showing it to you next weekend.

Welcome to the community. My wife and I decided it was time to get back to camping after quite a few years vacationing in hotels and lodges. We are eager for next season when we will have our new 19 for exploring points up north. I have had the RAM 1500 with 3.0L diesel for about a year and a half. It is the best truck I have ever owned. Great mileage, comfortable, and plenty of power for my needs. I have used it to tow a flatbed trailer with load and a tandem axle cargo trailer and have been pleased with the performance. Again, welcome. Happy Trails.
