Greetings from Central Illinois

Hello all! New to the forum and to RV'ing in general. Wife and I have done some tent camping but got the bug for an RV. After much research, we settled on an Escape! Looks like our 19 is slated for a January '22 build but here's to hoping it gets moved up a wee bit!
Now. On to more coffee........

Hello Kiltedguy.
Welcome.
We used to go around and sometimes through Peoria when we went to Columbus Ohio all the time 2 of our kids were in school there. There will be a rally at Thompson causeway Corps Of Engineers park in late September. It would only be about a two hour drive for you if you wanted to come up and see a number of Escapes.in one place. You’d sure be welcome.
It will be the last weekend in September if memory serves.

Welcome!

Southern Illinois is very beautiful this time of year. I would love to leisurely tour that state again on my way to Turkey Run State Park in IN, which I love.

If you are like me, the time will go agonizingly slow and eventually nothing will help but coming here to lick your chops and wait. That sucks.

But the result is well worth it. The freedom these trailers offer is so good. I love being out in the wilds and being totally clean. Not to mention warm.

Come back for therapy when you need it.

Again, welcome!

Peoria

But Peoria isn't in Southern Illinois. More like North Central Illinois. But Illinois, for certain.

Welcome KiltedGuy,

Been through Peoria several times. I have a friend (black sheep in the family apparently) here in Florida who hails from Peoria and all of his siblings, unlike him, stayed in Peoria and most worked for Caterpillar. While I have never camped in the area, it seems to be a pretty area that I do hope to explore at some future time.

It does have some nice spots for sure, but we love camping or just hiking at Starved Rock State Park. Only about an hour north of us. If you get the chance check it out!
