Smile greetings from DougBell

Hi, we are getting close to retirement and are looking for a smaller easy towing trailer to start our adventures (might be a couple of years or so away). I have owned two fiberglass trailers previously (13 ft Boler followed by a 17 ft Boler) - absolutely LOVED the trailers, especially the 13 ft!!. For what we want I am looking at the 17B trailer and adding a permanent bed to the back, this would give us a wet bath as well.

looking forward to some great discussions...

You know what you want

But consider an Escape 19'. Permanent bed, a tad bit more room and few downsides.

But YOU know what you desire.

Go see both models, if possible.

Concerned about weight

we are looking at the Hyundai Palisade or Kia Telluride as tow vehicles, each rated for 5000 lbs; based on previous experience really want the easiest towing option.

Will research the 19 ft more as well.

thanks

If you loved the Boler 13 and the bed was ok, then the 17b will be even better. I like your vehicle selection as well. Keep in mind that you can get a factory installed leveling rear suspension on both vehicles.

We went for the 19 for several reasons, but bigger is not always better. If the 17 was comfortable enough for us, and for many years would have been, we would have grabbed one. The 17B is a nice small trailer and you can leave the larger dinette made as a bed, If you are comfortable with living in it - grab it. I really wanted a bigger bed, bigger bath, bigger fridge, and a tandem axle. I really like the 17B though. If I had a TV with a 5000lbs towing capacity, I’d also get the 17B, but that depends on where, when, and how often you tow. I hope you enjoy it when you get it. Even used it can take a while.
