Hard to decide!

Hi all, we are new members from Victoria, BC. Just back from visiting the factory and trying to decide on the 19 or 21. Double bed vs queen bed, dining at front or back of trailer, counter space...hmmmm...decisions decisions. Glad to have found this forum and all the great information here.

When I was initially looking at Escapes, before there was a 21, one of the big pluses to the 19 was it could be pulled with a pretty small vehicle. That's not really the case with 21, at least in my opinion. The 19 is easier to pull, and park. Obviously the 21 is more roomy pretty much everywhere except the bed. Holding tanks are bigger too, which is a big thing to me.

You wouldn't be the first to order one trailer, then change your mind before it's built.

Having had a 19 and then a 21, I agree the 21 is a lot more spacious than the 19, do you need it and the additional weight? All depends on how many people will be inside using it and your personal preferences. I have sold the 21 and I'm back to my 2nd 19 on order. For 2 people it is perfect, IMHO.

Or you could have a 19 with a front bed with only a slight reduction in width from a standard double bed.

Welcome to the forum!

You really can not go wrong with any Escape model you choose. If afterwards you feel you may have made a mistake, with it's high resale value, you should not lose any money when selling and buying another model.

We went to Chilliwack with the 19 in mind but after comparing the 19 and 21 side by side, we ordered the 21. It's what works for us and as far as what works for you, only you can decide. You did the right thing in comparing the trailers, so weigh the pros and cons of each. Good luck with your decision and as everyone knows, it is always cheaper to get it right the first time. Loren

What's perfect for two? The one that's perfect for YOU. Luckily, Escape makes different models because there are too many variables for one model to be perfect for all. We think the 19 is the "perfect" balance between size, layout and features for just the two of us. Others prefer the 21 or the 5er. I LOVE that people make different choices, and have no desire to persuade them otherwise.

Go with your gut. You'll know which model is right for you after seeing and spending some time in each.

What everyone else said.

(Seems like pretty good advice.) You pretty well can't go wrong - as long as your TV can handle either one.

I'm a solo traveler and I think the biggest ETI build is perfect for ONE.

Thanks everyone - good advice. Leaning to the 19 and pulling with a new GMC Canyon V6 gas (rated 7000 lbs towing capacity). Should be comfortable!
