Trailer: 2018 Escape 19' on order

Hello from Maine
Hello all, I'm a long time lurker and now a first time poster! I ordered a 19 with a September 26th completion date. Now the fun starts... my build sheet.
At home I watch a fair amount of TV in the evening so as a full-timer in my Escape I expect I'll continue to do the same. I'm trying to decide where to mount the TV swing arm and locate the TV /Cable Ready with 12V Outlet.
I'd like to be able to view my 22" TV from both the dinette (primary viewing area) but also from the bed. Will the standard mounting location of the swing arm allow that? Will a person at both sides of the dinette be able to view the TV?
Thank you in advance for your input. 164 days until retirement.
Kurt

First of all you have to decide which end of the bed your heads will be. Seems to sometimes be a difference of opinion on that. If you choose to have your heads on the driver side then the answer to your questions are, yes, if ETI mounts the swing arm in the same position that I did. A person lounging in the dinette, even on the driver side, can still see the TV. (photo) And it is fully visible from the bed.

That's perfect Ron! What size is your TV? I'm guessing at the standard location the TV would not be visible from the dinette driver side?

When Ron posted his install it was for a 19" TV:
www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8/tv-swivel-arm-9172.html
We have a mount on the passengers side which is the standard mounting location by ETI. The TV does swing around for view at the front dinette, but there is much better viewing from the driver's side. On the passengers side you would basically need to be sitting forward and leaning on the table to see it around the bump out for the bathroom.

To clarify how we view TV from our conventional dinette. Basically, because I'm taller than my wife and also because I'm coming and going from the trailer more often, the passenger side is my seat. That's why it has a dog blanket on it.
When we're watching TV both of us are lounging with our backs against pillows on the front wall. That's the view in the photo I posted. To view the TV without lounging a person would have to look or turn sideways which wouldn't be as comfortable.

In my 19', I have the tv wall mount located on the bed side of the bulkhead between the fridge and the bed. The arm on the tv wall mount will swing out close to about the mid-point of the aisle, so in theory, you can watch tv from the front dinette. However, I find that the position of the tv is not great if viewing from the drivers side dinette as the view is blocked by the bathroom wall. Also, we have a 19" tv screen, and for me that is just too small to comfortably watch while sitting in the passenger side dinette seat. We do find it quite comfortable to lounge on the rear bed and watch movies in the evening, and have done so quite often. We have rarely even tried to watch from the dinette, and if I was to be more interested in doing so, I would install another tv wall mount on the bathroom wall right beside the dinette.

Hi Lewiston,
We've ordered a 19 for a 9/19 completion, so just in front of you. From Lake Tahoe but spend time in Maine every summer. Getting the Escape means we'll travel overland rather than by air.
Looking forward to it!

Thank you all for sharing your TV ideas with me.
Now that I have the important stuff out of the way the rest of the build will be a breeze
Hi Stateline Nevada! Exciting times, eh?
