Hello from McBride, BC

Our 21’ Escape is due to roll out in Jan 16. Our planned pick up is for some opportune time in April, wx being the deciding factor. We will however likely make a visit to ETI to see the new rig as soon as we can. We are downsizing (but upgrading a bunch!) from a 24’ Fleetwood product, and very much looking forward to the changes. I don’t think we did anything too surprising in our build and I should say that the folks at ETI were spectacular in helping us with information, suggestions and options. We also gleaned a lot of good ideas and considerations from your comments and posts here so - thanks to this forum community. Barb and I look forward to the next long while with our rig and being a part of the Escapers.
Steve, Barb and Sassy (the pooch)

Welcome to the Escape fold! You must be truly excited, especially having had a stick-built and going from that to a high-quality fiberglass trailer.

But what is the "wx" that is a factor in your pick-up date?

Edited: Never mind. I just looked up McBride on Google Maps and figure "wx" must stand for weather.

Welcome to you and Barb, Steve.

I have driven through McBride a bunch of times headed either north of Prince George, or to the Bowron Lake Circuit, to either canoe or backcountry ski. Even stayed in a motel there a couple times. Though one absent minded morning, when stopping there real early (slept in the Pilot near Jasper), I stopped for breakfast and gas in McBride. Well, I never forgot to eat, but........ Yeah, dead of winter and no fuel stations between their and PG, and I ran out of fuel about 50 km short of PG. My first hitchhiking experience in many years.

I too upgraded from a 24' Terry bunk model, when I decided I actually wanted to pull a travel trailer more, and not just use it as a cabin at our land. I am sure you will enjoy the 21.

Welcome Steve and Barb.

Spent time in McBride for work, traveling, fuelling up at the Husky and of course eating at the Grizzly, you sure have a nice little town. We lived in PG so not to different weather wise. You're sure brave to pick up in April, still lots of rock on the roads but then I know waiting to pick up ones Escape is hard. Might see you one day on our trip through.

Cheers
Doug
