Hello from rainy/snowy Portland, OR

Hello fellow Escapers! I'm just putting my toe in the water, so to speak, by getting up my gumption to put down the $500 deposit on an Escape 5.0 TA. Can you believe I'm already anxious?! So many fun things to decide, so many details to figure out! Woo-hoo!

Congratulations! Donna has a brand new 5.0TA and she's in Portland. If you haven't already messaged her, that's your best bet. I'm sure you can get a TON of ideas by looking at hers. She's an encyclopedia of all things 5.0 TA.

Donna D., you're the font of wisdom for this 5.0 TA newbie. Am trying to PM you, but am not a "trusted member". (I think I'm trustworthy! And can't seem to find any info on how to become "trusted".) Any help along those PM lines would be gratefully accepted.

Hang in their Cherry. I'm thinking it has more to do with something on the administrative end than whether or not you're a trustworthy person.

I think if we approve one of his posts, he will be trustworthy. Can't guarantee it though.

Nope. That didn't work.

How about you send him a PM Donna? Then he can reply.

Think that will bring Portland area Escape owners up to 8. We're getting enough to hold our own rally!

It's official! I have a hatch date: July 20th! So many plans, so little time... my build deadline is May 1st.

Congrats! However, ETI has a habit lately of finishing trailers early - especially if someone cancels out. Our 10 weeks of build sheet time after the deposit turned into 2 weeks - and we got our 21 more than 2 months before we expected it to be finished!

Are you planning on making a trip to ETI before your build sheet is due? I'm glad I did, but then again... I didn't get any opportunity to physically SEE a 5.0TA before my build sheet was due. When I put my deposit down, the new model was a sketch on a napkin (not really, but kinda).

I'd love to get up to ETI. We'll see what happens. If my trailer is "hatched" early, I may faint! (I'm hoping to sell my condo in Spring...)

I'm with Donna. Try to visit ETI if you can. I'm sure you got alot of ideas by touring her trailer, just as I did by touring Steve and Cynthia's 19 here in San Antonio. But, I found out even more during the factory visit, and some options I didn't know existed. Well worth the trip.

ETI is only a 6 hour drive from Portland, I wasn't willing to fork over $30K+ USD without a visit to make sure I knew what I was getting into!
