Hello from the Lone Star State

Hello everyone. I have been haunting this forum for at least 6 months and decided to take the plunge to register. I am interested in the Escape 21 and thinking of buying a new one next year. I have owned 3 trailers in the last 18 years, the first was a popup and now have a 2011 Forest River Surveyor 275. My tow vehicle is a 2012 F250 with a 6.2L gas motor. I have been wanting to downsize trailers. Retiring at the end of this month but will continue to work part time somewhere. The Escape looks to be an excellent choice and seems to hold value well. I am a Native Texan and live in Central Texas. As time goes on, I am sure I will have questions about options if I decide to buy one.

Welcome aboard. You have obviously been doing your homework, and are on the way to making a wise choice. As you have likely seen over the last 6 months of lurking, there are lots of great members here, who are all willing to offer any information you may be looking for.

Man, there sure seems to be a lot of Texans around here these days. We are all good with that.

Hello James Gang and Welsome! Good luck on your pending semi-retirement, your decision on an Escape and maybe a timely build date!

There are quite a few of us Texans here. There are several 21's in your area if you want to visit one in person. We will be picking up our second Escape, this one the 5.0 TA, in time to go to the rally and visit with all our Canadian cousins again.. Good luck and welcome.

Welcome Barton. Since you've been reading the forum for several months now, you already know that the number of Escape owners in Texas is growing quite a bit. Lots of 21 owners too. Give Escape a call when you're ready and they'll put you in touch with owners in your area. Check them out in person before you decide anything.

We're good with it too. If Escape ever decided to manufacture in the US, Texas would be a smart choice.

that would be cool, just camp out there during the whole build process and make the pickup easier!
guessing though that a few folks in Rice,Texas would not be too thrilled with new neighbors.
welcome Native... that's at least two Native Texans considering a 2017 Escape purchase..

Welcome to the Forum. You are on your way to making a very fine choice in purchasing a quality RV. As rbryan said, there are plenty of us around central Texas for you to get a good look at one of our units. We got our 5.0TA last summer and it was almost as good as bringing our daughter home from the hospital when she was born. Go for it.
