Glad to help. Also, forgot to mention - you can put any start date you want on the permit, which means you can purchase it in advance, and have the permit start on the day you pick up the trailer. All you need is current insurance and a VIN. Also, you will receive the permit via email. Just print it out, fold and place it in a larger ziploc bag before attaching it to the trailer. To make it "legal" you need to carry the E-receipt for the permit in your tow vehicle at all times.

Great! No more anxiety about getting permanent plates in advance or driving back to Texas without plates.

The lettering can be no taller than 4 1/2". I just did mine at 2 1/2". It looks like Robert's 'Past Tents' is about 2 1/2" mabe 3" at most. Right Robert?

What prevents someone from out of state to order one and pay via cc to obtain a 30 day temporary tag? Seems like a good deal to have a temp tag on your vehicle to appear legit while in transit if your home state does not offer advance issuance? For $25 I'd do that.

Well, you do have to enter a Texas address, and be a Texas resident, but you're right, its pretty wide open. However, legally speaking, falsifying info on the application is a Texas 3rd Degree Felony....lol

Probably Steve. Never specified it. Just picked a font and the graphics guy ETI uses selected the proper size.

Hi Floating Cloud, Yes I used to dive out at the Channel Islands off the So. Cal. coast. Tetra was the name of our 34' sailboat. We decided to trade her for a "land yacht" and explore places we have never been.
